Lena Struwe, director of the Chrysler Herbarium, is the lead investigator for two projects focused on the biodiversity of Rutgers University campus areas.
The Flora of Rutgers Campus is a checklist of all species found on campus and built up by students' herbarium collections as part of botany classes at Rutgers since 2011. The checklist and observation data is housed on the Consortium of Northeastern Herbaria and contains over 400 wild and naturalized plants found at Rutgers–New Brunswick.
